LULU'S
BACK with a visit from heaven, new book and events!
We are
so excited to let you know that Lulu's newest book will be available this
spring! "I AM The Rainbow" is a true story of "A Moment in Heaven" with
Gretchan and Lulu. Lulu takes her mother on a journey through her heaven and in
the end, it transforms Gretchan's life and we believe it will transform yours
too! This beautiful little book lets us all know that we all a part of the
beauty of heaven!
Events:
Bring you
little ones for the FUN! Saturday, February 2nd, from 9:00 till
12:00 a.m. Family Literacy Event at Sippican Elementary in Marion, MA
Gretchan will be reading and signing Lulu's beautiful books to the children at
10:00 and 11:00 am. Special prizes will be given to your children just
before the readings!
Wednesday, March 13th, from 5:30 till
8:00 p.m. Family Literacy Event at Freetown/Lakeville Middle School.
Gretchan Will be reading and signing Lulu's beautiful books at 6:00 p.m. and
7:00 p.m. Special prizes will be given to the children just before the
readings!
Sunday March 24th , The Big Read Festival at The
Book Shack at the Kingston Mall

2012 Gretchan will be speaking/inspiring at Ladies Luncheon to benefit

The Lulu Foundation along with
Principal Martha Kay and the entire team at The Alfred Gomes School are
implementing program "Dream,
Believe and Do!" The Alfred Gomes School in New Bedford,
MA is the first "Dream,
Believe and Do!" school in the country! Our beta site
school has a dream... To inspire their children to be passionate about learning
and through their education, they can make their dreams come true! Our students
are creating original works of art that will inspire their entire community!

The mission of The
Lulu Foundation is to empower children who have suffered. We believe that
every child is special and powerful and deserves the right to feel that way. It
is through positive energy and the arts that we allow children the opportunity
to explore their special gift and unleash the power within. It is in the
creative process that healing takes place.
Our current education system
is taking away the very process that allows children to expand and become the
creators of tomorrow. It is through teaming and the hands-on creative process
that children become motivated and inspired to work hard and are allowed to
manifest their dreams into reality.
Lulu’s books and media tools inspire children to believe
in themselves and unleash the beautiful power within. We partner artist of all
kinds with inner city schools and organizations who serve at risk youth with
project “Dream, Believe and
DO!” A mantra, a philosophy, and a movement, “Dream,
Believe and Do!” inspires school systems and organizations to manifest
a collective dream using the arts to make world a more beautiful place! The
Alfred J. Gomes Elementary School in New Bedford, MA is our
flagship school and is located in New Bedford, Ma.

GiftsToGive™ is a magical place. Thousands of
local children go there to engage in giving and service; they call it Tangible
Philanthropy and Big Citizenship. Kids donate their "gently-used" clothes,
toys, books and things they no longer need or use and volunteer at their huge
re-purposing center to process, organize and package tons of donations,
transforming them into thousands of individual gift packages. Hundreds of local
agencies and care givers go on-line and order customized gift-packages for
homeless and at-risk children in their care. All this is made possible through
the skill sets and commitment of their volunteer management team.
